Breaker of rules. And pencils.
Jennifer Crowder is a visual artist based in the Boston, Massachusetts area. She works in both traditional and digital mediums, often mashing them up into something she calls “tradigital” art. Formerly a website designer with 20 years of experience, she gave up full-time site design in 2006 after being diagnosed with acute leukemia. The aftermath of cancer treatment led to a renewed interest in traditional art, as she found drawing and painting therapeutic.
Jennifer works with a wide range of materials and techniques, and to this day is an art class/workshop enthusiast. She went to the Savannah College of Art and Design in the 90s but left before finishing a degree. Currently selling digital products through Etsy, she does occasionally take commissions or have a few paintings for sale.
A true introvert, Jennifer likes to hang out at home with her husband and dogs. She enjoys reading and creative writing, but is happiest in her loft studio flinging paint around or curled up in a chair with her iPad and the Procreate app.
